COMPETITION HORSE TAIL RIBBONS

A simple but effective way to clearly communicate important information about your horse to other riders and organisers, helping everyone give you the appropriate space and potentially avoid unnecessary incidents.

Made from luxurious satin polyester, each ribbon features a strong, secure metal clip on the back, making it quick and easy to attach to your horse’s tail.

Suitable for use on both plaited and unplaited tails.

WHICH COLOUR DO I NEED?

🔵 BLUE – STALLION
Designed to indicate that your horse is a stallion, helping alert riders of mares and encouraging them to keep an appropriate distance.

🟢 GREEN – YOUNG / INEXPERIENCED HORSE
Perfect for a young or inexperienced horse, particularly at their first few competitions or outings. It lets other riders know that your horse may need a little extra room, especially in busy warm-up areas.

🩷 PINK – MARE IN SEASON
Used to alert other competitors that your mare is in season or may be particularly sensitive or moody, helping stallion riders and other competitors know to give her additional space.

🔴 RED – MAY KICK
Probably the most widely recognised tail ribbon. Red warns other riders that the horse may kick and that they should maintain a safe distance.

⚪ WHITE – FOR SALE
A simple way to show that your horse is for sale. Ideal for shows and events, allowing potential buyers to easily identify horses currently on the market.
