Robyn Catterall Hunting with Iveagh Foxhounds

Posted by Amy Bryan Dowell on

"On Saturday 11th February I was able to get out hunting again with the Iveagh Foxhounds. We set off with the hounds just outside Loughbrickland by kind permission of Colin Buggs. Wintery conditions didn't stop the pack having a great spin out with some fantastic jumping set out my John Porter. Very early on Colin presented myself and Master Alexander Mills with a couple of rather large hedges, before we could think about taking an alternative route all three horses were locked and ready to tackle them with ease. Later on in the day I even got to attempt my first double ditch in a side saddle. The day ended well with some homemade soup provided by Colin's family and I couldn't resist inspecting those hedges on foot.. this day was great preparation for the Kildare Performance Hunter Show, were Mr Levi and I will be taking on a course of hunting fences side saddle. I am so grateful to be able to represent Amy and The Old Hunting Habit in Ireland, her knowledge of turnout and quality of her products is outstanding. I am delighted to be able to continue to promote The Old Hunting Habit throughout the year at various events with my team of horses!"
